The ark door was sealed shut, it's inhabitants anxious with anticipation and hope. Then the fat raindrops began to fall, splashing never before on dirt and dust in spectacular starbursts. It began a swift cadence, dancing down from the ominous clouds, then from beyond even the perceivable atmosphere.
For forty days and nights, heaven's vast floodgates opened wide, pouring forth water like never before. And with the steady pounding, as waters roared from above, in writhing ecstasy, out of the stars and past distant nebula, descending through stardust, an interfusion of God's finest creations spread its tentacled arms, diving steadfast into earth's open seas. Could they be aliens? Have you not wondered why are they so other-worldly, those octopus! Now it all makes sense. (This is not told in the bible, but so many things aren't, you know ;)
